He satisfies

{Isaiah 55:1-3}
"Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!  Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.  Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?  Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.  Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David."

{Psalm 145:15-19}
"The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season.  You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.  The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works.  The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them."

The Beginning . . .

“Come, follow Me.  Know Me.  Know what it is to be Mine.”

I have heard Him whisper these words to my soul.  Will you join me in the adventure?  The adventure of being simply His?  Where and how He will lead, the stories He will write, the things He has in store along this road are yet unknown, but is there an adventure more beautiful, more thrilling, more joy-filled than the adventure we are called to by simply knowing Him?  Is there a privilege more sacred, more delightful, more mysterious, more precious than simply being His?  Is there a higher calling?

How good and how great is our God!  How unfathomable it is to be called not just to know about Him, but to know Him, personally, intimately.  How incredible that One so perfect, so matchless in every way, would give His life to save us, would redeem us and call us His own.

Words fall so short, but on the pages of this blog I desire to write as best I can the mere glimpses of His glory and goodness that I have seen, and to share testimonies of His grace as He continues to work in me.  My prayer is that He would be greatly glorified, that eyes and hearts would be drawn to Him, and that He would receive all the honor and praise.

“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.”  As we venture into this new year, it is my desire that this blog would be a place to encourage each other as we simply follow Him. I would love to hear from you.  Please feel free to comment and dialogue with me.

Humbly dependent, willingly yielded, wholeheartedly devoted, unreservedly loving, adoringly obedient, undividedly focused, joyfully pursuing, exquisitely delighting, worshipfully beholding . . .  Simply His.
